Mall at Millenia (27.3 miles:- 32 minutes)

Mall at Millenia is a stunning shopping mall and for many it is the mecca of all shopping experiences and worth a visit even if it is just window shopping!

Great place to go for the leading designer labels.

The Mall at Millenia is a grand and contemporary, indoor shopping mall located in Orlando, Florida just off of Interstate 4 at Conroy Road near the northern end of International Drive. It is a different shopping environment from malls such as the Premium Outlets which is not an indoor shopping centre. Both very nice places to shop and wander around but a different feel to them.

It has a good food court. Pf Changs China Bistro is a very good place for Chinese food. .

Premium Outlets: Orlando (18.5 miles:-26 minutes)

Premium Outlets has two locations in Orlando. The first one which is slightly further away from our villa at 25.4 miles, (35 minutes) is Orlando International  Premium Outlets which has 180 stores and is located at 4951 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819.

The second location is the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlet located at 8200 Vineland Avenue, Orlando, FL 32819. Here there are 160 stores. Time from our villa to the Vineland Premium Outlet is 26 minutes as it is slightly nearer at 18.5 miles. Of the two, even though the shops are basically the same we actually prefer the Vineland Outlet.

We really like shopping at both of these outlets where there are stores such as Burberry, Coach, Levis, Gap, Hugo Boss, Lacoste and Polo Ralph Lauren at fantastic discount prices from anything between 25-65%. When we visited in January the sales were on and many of the reductions were 70%, so some great bargains were to be had!

Unlike the indoor shopping malls such as the Florida Mall, here the stores are arranged as seperate single storey shops which are more like a traditional street rather than being under cover. There is also a food court where you can purchase fast food like Chinese, burgers, Subways, pizza and many more.

Opening hours are Monday to Saturday 10 am - 11pm, Sunday 10 am - 9 pm.

There are large car parks available but even then when we visited in the afternoons on a couple of occasions we did have to drive around for a while waiting for a space to become available.

Posner Park (9.8 miles: 15 minutes)

Posner Park, situated at Posner Blvd. Davenport, FL 33837 is an outside shopping mall in Davenport next to the intersection of the I4 and US Highway 27. Posner Park is still in the early days of its development with plans still in place for future additions of leisure, residential, destination restaurants and pedestrian parks.

There are currently a number of large stores including a Super Target which is good for clothes, household goods and groceries. J.C. Penny's, Best Buy, Michael's which is fantastic for crafting supplies like scrapbooking, Book-A-Million, PetSmart, Dick's, Ross, Staples and Dress for Less.

There are also various restaurants such as CiCi's Pizza, Taco Maker and Zen Asian Grill.

This is a retail mall that we will be watching with interest as it develops over the coming months as it is very convenient for our villa on Watersong.
